The Entomological Society of Nigeria (ESN) was established in 1965 and the society has been meeting regularly since then. The Society extends invitation for membership to all persons with genuine interest in the science and practice of entomology for a sane world.

The objectives of the Entomological Society of Nigeria are among others to promote the study of entomology in all its aspects and to build mutually beneficial relations among all those involved in entomology at all levels. The Society is operated exclusively for scientific and educational purposes for the benefit of members and the society at large.
